My educational background

Different disciplines and ideas coming together

My undergraduate degree is from the University of Notre Dame, where my major(s) shifted along with my interests and experiences as follows: freshman year: engineering; sophomore year: math and philosophy; junior year: philosophy and psychology, though for half of the year I studied in London and took courses in theater, music, architecture, creativity, religion, and literary theory; senior year: philosophy and psychology.

My M.A. and Ph.D. are from Brown University, where I philosophy, especially metaphysics and epistemology. My dissertation critiqued historically important views on freedom and responsibility, while also explicating and defending my own views on the matter.

My expertise in critical thinking

Applying philosophy and critical thinking to business

All people and organizations have challenges to face up to and problems to solve.  I am happy to work with you, as CEO or business owner, or one of your teams or departments and work as far long and as hard as far as you would like towards a decision.  It need not stop there, as I am also keen to be a part of the follow-up assessment of new policies, and further reflection and decision that may come out of that.  I can act as a leader of the reflection, as a new voice contributing alongside the others involved, ad/or as a synthesizer of ideas, and most especially the arguments, presented- as a means to help you make  optimal choices.
